What is Prayhaven?

Prayhaven is an online religious community. But what makes Prayhaven so different? It boasts a few unique features on which we will elaborate later on this page. One of our main features, however, is our protected environment. Only members can access the Member Area... Why? Among other things, it serves to protect all members from abusive internet users. We’ve all had to deal with people on forums who seem to reply only to insult others, simply because they do not agree with you. Here at Prayhaven, malicious visitors cannot even view the forums or chatrooms. Only you can.

What can I expect in the Member Area?

There are chatrooms available and there's an extensive forum to discuss a wide range of religious topics. But of course it's also possible to use the forums for casual off-topic talk. There are forums available in languages other than English, which at request will be expanded with any language you wish. A list of other features is listed further down on this page.

What are those unique features?

A lot of us pray every day… But why can’t we pray online? Well, we can. Prayers are always heard by God, whichever way you pray. Whether you pray for your family, your community, our soldiers abroad or everyone in the world, you can now do it online at your convenience. At home or even at the office, if you wish to have a quiet moment. You have all the time in the world to write a prayer before you 'send' it. Every opportunity to formulate the words in your own time.

Send a prayer?

Yes, you can 'send' your prayer… No one here at Prayhaven will be able to read your prayer, we value your privacy, but you have the satisfaction of knowing your prayer was heard by God. He always listens and is there for you.

How about confessing then?

Here at Prayhaven, you can confess online too. You have 3 options:

1) Confess privately – Like with prayers, no one will read it.

2) Confess publicly – If you wish to confess publicly, you can. Other people can respond to your confession and perhaps even give you some advice or some words of support. Other members might have been in a similar situation and can relate to your predicament.

3) Confess to Prayhaven staff – It sometimes feels good if you can tell someone what you’ve done wrong. If you don’t want to confess publicly, you should consider confessing to Prayhaven staff. You have the guarantee your confession will be read by a Prayhaven staff member. You will receive a confirmation as soon as your confession has been received by a staff member, which hopefully lifts some weight off your shoulders.
